Alsace Muscat in our shop
Its dry character sets it apart from the sweet Muscat du Midi wines. It is highly aromatic, perfectly expressing the flavour of fresh fruit. It is made from two varieties of Muscats grown in Alsace: the Muscat known as ‘à petits grains’ or ‘Muscat d’Alsace’ appeared in Alsace at the beginning of the 16th century and the Muscat ottonel appeared in Alsace in the middle of the 19th century.
Muscat d’Alsace is a real appetiser. It is served as an aperitif at some of the region’s finest restaurants. Muscat sec is also very popular with asparagus. It also enhances light dishes based on cooked or raw vegetables (steamed dishes, vegetarian dishes).
