Alsace orange win – Gewurztraminer
Orange Gewurztraminer in our shop
This wine is the result of a controlled vinification process, using hand-picked grapes. After de-stemming and a 6-day maceration, the grapes are gently pressed and then cold settled. Fermentation is temperature-controlled, followed by ageing on fine lees. Filtration before bottling ensures clarity and stability, allowing the wine to age slightly.
The nose is richly fruity, with exotic notes and a hint of spice. On the palate, this off-dry wine has the same aromatic range as the nose, with a lovely lightness and very pleasant freshness.
Ideal as a chilled aperitif, it is also a wonderful accompaniment to spicy cuisine, generous dishes and a wide variety of cheeses.
A commitment to quality and nature
At Domaine Bléger, the excellence of our wines is based on a profound respect for nature and a constant quest for quality. For several generations, we have been cultivating our vines in harmony with their environment, convinced that the richness of a wine begins with the soil that nourishes it. Our estate is certified organic, a strong commitment that guarantees practices that respect the soil, biodiversity and the vine’s natural cycle. We favour natural methods, banning synthetic pesticides and herbicides to preserve the purity of our grapes and the authenticity of our terroirs.
